About Us
Welcome to My History Club (MHC), a place for people who think the past is far too interesting to leave buried in textbooks.
We’re a group of history buffs who love going down historical rabbit holes, swapping fascinating stories, and discovering the strange, surprising, brilliant, and occasionally ridiculous things people have done throughout history.
What started as a community of fellow history fans on Facebook grew into MyHistoryClub.com, where we could dig a little deeper into the stories that caught our attention.
History Is Never Boring
At MHC, we explore history from just about every angle. Ancient civilizations, medieval battles, kings and queens, military history, forgotten people, famous disasters, unsolved mysteries, bizarre inventions, historical myths, and those wonderfully specific questions that suddenly make you wonder, “Wait… did that actually happen?”
Those are usually our favorite ones.
We’re especially interested in the human side of history. The personalities, decisions, accidents, rivalries, ambitions, beliefs, and strokes of luck that turned ordinary moments into history.
Our goal isn’t to make history feel like homework. It’s to make it something you genuinely want to keep reading about.
Come Dork Out With Us
You don’t need a history degree to join the club. Curiosity is enough.
Whether you can name every Roman emperor in order or you just clicked an article because you had no idea the Romans may have staged naval battles inside the Colosseum, you’re among friends here.
Read a story. Learn something strange. Question something you thought you knew. Then come find us on Facebook and join thousands of other people who enjoy disappearing down the same historical rabbit holes.
Because the more you learn about history, the stranger, messier, and more fascinating it gets.
Welcome to the club.
